Company history

Sax3d.com GmbH was founded 1998 employing three people. Initially there was a focus on designing and manufacturing of picture holograms.

The first raster free Holographic-Optical Projection Screen was developed and patentregistered under the branding HOPS.® by sax3d.com GmbH in 2000. Since then the major business area shifts to the field of manufacturing and marketing of transparent projection screen for daylight capable large-image-reproduction.

Since 2004 as only manufacturer worldwide sax3d.com GmbH has been able to produce holographic projection screens with projection angles of 20 and 55 degree apart from the conventional projection angle of 38 degree. This enables sax3d to install the unique HOPS.® technology in thitherto inaccessible areas which are for our major competitors inaccessible even today – e.g. surroundings with extremely low ceilings or the necessity of a very close projection distance.

Since December 2007 sax3d.com GmbH has been able to manufacture its own holographic film - the base of all HOPS.®-products. Therewith it is guaranteed that also in this area the technological progress can be pressed ahead with the innovative potential of the technology leader.

Features like transparency, daylight-competence, splendour in image, brightness, colour and contrast as well as homogeneity make the projection with HOPS.® an unforgettable and admirable experience at fairs, events, trainings, at point of sale and in the home-cinema area.

All of this positioned sax3d.com GmbH as undisputable technology leader in its market. With this success sax3d.com GmbH was able to growth on an stable base and employs 13 people permanently in marketing, sales, research and production today.

Over the years sax3d.com GmbH developed a second business unit with the production and sale of special holographic, light redirecting films with diffraction gratings in diverse specifications for applications in architecture and art. In cooperation with artists and architects we create again and again breathtaking and nearly unbelievable design objects.

Due to our unique technological competence we are a reliable and approved partner in research and development for many companies and research institutes.
